Here are some examples of the benefits: First and foremost, they are a "bridge between the community and businesses." Attending local meetings will give greater exposure to your business/brand/service or products regardless of whether you have a digital business or bricks-n-mortar business (bricks-n-mortar business arguably reaping more benefits). If you are an aspiring entrepreneurs, you are encouraged to focus on optimizing your PERSONAL credit score to at least good, but preferably excellent, prior to starting your business, especially if you plan on requesting a loan or line of credit at the start of your of your business venture.
Obtaining your free credit SCORE is not to be confused with obtaining your free credit REPORT, www.annualcreditreport.com. Although you will receive your credit report from all 3 reporting bureaus (TransUnion, Experian & Equifax), none of them will include your Fico Score. Two popular FREE credit score providers:
CREDIT KARMA ..... TransUnion and Equifax scores
NERDWALLET ........ Experian score
There are, of course, many other independent companies providing free credit score to both consumers and business owners.
Additionally, many credit card companies now provide a link to access your credit score from one of the 3 reporting bureaus (sometimes more). This link is typically provided once you have logged into your personal or business account.
